In the broo-ha-ha…ha which has seen the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada tip his hand in support of the government’s dubious actions against the trucker’s convoy, a judge has come to his defence.
Judge Janet Janikowski from the University of Law Boogaloo says there’s nothing wrong with bias. “Judge Richard Wagner is a friend of mine. He has served the bench with integrity and distinction,” she said.
“I think people have forgotten justice is biased” she explained. “Bias makes us see. Bias is natural. We all have biases. You have bias, I have bias. Justice can’t be blind. I always thought that to be insipid. Who said it’s good to be blind? I don’t want to be blind. Do you want to be blind? Thought so,” as she adjusted her red nose and put on a pink wig. “Now if you don’t mind I have a vaccine case to dismiss.”
We asked another judge about Judge Janikowski’s opinion and how it could be damaging to not only the public’s perception of justice but to people who are victims of biased rulings, he said. “Don’t be so dramatic. They’ll get over it.”
Chief Justice Wagner could not be reached for comment.
